Absolutely heartbreaking episode about how the ice in Iceland is disappearing due to the climate crisis. What happens to a nation’s identity when the thing that gave it its namesake will no longer be around? Icelanders just held the first memorial for a glacier that has disappeared, and many more memorials are expected to happen. I’m so sad for the day where there are plaques in place of glaciers that say “There once stood a glacier here.” ☹️
