Yellowstone National Park is where we saved the American bison from extinction. But each year, we slaughter hundreds of animals from this prized herd. Why? Learn more on this episode of Threshold.
Hooray, I was able to listen to this episode after an odd week of libsyn not working for me! What a nice bit of conversation about bison and their place in the US.
A great episode that reflects a bigger problem, humans, and animals trying to live together and maintain the delicate balance. We own the responsibility higher up the chain of life but are we making the best decisions for us or the animals, that's the question?
A lovely and heartbreaking episode about the wild bison that roam the Yellowstone National Park. It's one of the three last wild bison herds in the US, but the park rangers have to slaughter them every year. Why? Because humans...and it's not what you think. Highly recommended.
Hihi ,mm, I listened to this randomly the other day too! Really interesting, I can see both sides of the argument. Want to go to Yellowstone now more than ever ....edit omg...sometimes I wonder about myself 🤣...obviously I listened not randomly, but as part of PBC LOL 😅
@mm Yep, I would also love to see and feel the herd. I bet you can feel them under your feet when they decide to move together. This is one of those things that there is probably no substitute for other than being there.

Love this kind of podcast that deconstructs an issue from multiple viewpoints and treats each with respect.
