I haven't been able to work out if I should add this to my profile because on one hand, I recognize how revolutionary it is for podcasting and what an interesting narrative it is and on the other hand I think I just didn't really like it all that much. I would love to hear from other people if anyon...Show More

Maybe @ddtbagbabe @gasstationb @saam @zachlovespodcast @zoemcsmith or @mcu might be able to help with this question about S-Town?

@podplace hey there, I think it depends how you like to organize yourself. Personally eventually remove podcasts that I have completed. I mark them in my list “completed” but don’t leave them on my main page. Unless you are making a list for revolutionary podcasts or something like that, if it didn...Show More

@ddtbagbabe What did you think of S-Town, which I think was @podplace’s other question? Surprisingly, I haven’t listened to it yet, but it’s been on my to listen list, so your take on it will help both @podplace and me!

I just found him such an interesting person, and the story around him was gripping, imho. Now that you’ve brought this up I thi...Show More

@podplace @mm sorry I misunderstood the question. I actually really liked this podcast despite it being completely different than the trailer. The trailer makes you think it’s about a murder, in reality it is about A man named John and his role in Shit Town USA. I loved this podcast, it is still one...Show More

@podplace in my view, S-Town is an important work, mostly because it pushed the genre way farther ahead. It was the first narrative podcast that wasn’t (really) a true crime story. It involves death, but it’s really more of a personal narrative, steeped in a Southern Gothic archetype, about a place ...Show More

@saam I’ve listened to the entire thing and still didn’t like it unfortunately. I do agree that it is important historically for podcasting and I think that’s the best place for it in terms of its value to me. :)

@ddtbagbabe right! So do you use the ‘my podcasts’ mostly for absolute favorites and what you are currently listening to?

@podplace I pretty much keep it as a list of things that sparked my interest I have yet to listen to or things in my current rotation.

@podplace I am currently listening “Hunting Warhead”, “the man outside the window”, and I’m obsessed with “Radio Rental”
