Ok, so I live on a “stroad” and I didn’t even know it. I have had such frustration with the neighborhood I live in and struggled to express why. The concept of a “stroad” is exactly the word I was missing. Luckily, I’m moving soon! To a place with streets! Down with stroads!

Highlights: Suburbs don't collect enough tax revenue to pay for the maintenance of their infrastructure. Nice, walkable cities that we vacation at in Europe and Asia are effectively illegal to build in most of North America due to zoning laws and minimum parking requirements.
