My Christmas gift to you all is this episode of this podcast. A baby born with a rare, painful and disfiguring birth defect is abandoned at birth. She was adopted by a family that valued and nurtured her. Now in her 20s, she glows with deliberate positive energy and self-confidence. This podcast s...Show More

Thanks! I think you intro'ed me to this podcast and I've been enjoying it. In terms of international podcasts, I think you'll like Kerning Cultures, it has a similar vibe to this ie) storytelling about life in the Middle East, this was my favourite episode so far. https://podyssey.fm/episode/id5315...Show More

And side note: I've also gotten into really local podcasts too. started listening to a Vancouver "politics" podcast and have enjoyed learning more about the city I live in too. so its funny that now I'm into hearing super local stories and stories from all parts of the world.

@danny Thanks for these recs! On the topic of intl podcasts, I really like Long Distance, which is about the Philippines and Philippina/o diaspora in the US.

@mm @epekilis I have some audio fiction recommendations if you like that sort of thing, haha. Punishment Island from Uganda (a paranormal pod about things we don’t speak of in Kampala) And Indian Noir by spoken word artist Nikesh Murali

Hi, I can recommend you podcasts from Chile and Spain. There's also a very very very good podcast in Spanish, Radio Ambulante, that it is now in NPR in USA. It is about different stories from all Latinoamérica.

@danny Thanks. Have added them. I was listening to a good business podcast from China, but I deleted it from my list because the sound quality was poor. Every week she interviewed another entrepreneur about their experiences doing business in China. It wasn’t limited to tech. If I can figure ou...Show More

@fiercefab Thanks so much! I used to listen to a lot of audio fiction when I had to do a lot of long distance driving. Now, not so much, but I will check these out.

@molinos I am embarrassed to admit that I only speak English. Do you know of any English language podcasts by people from Chile or Spain that you could recommend?

@mavislightyear Welcome back! I was actually wondering if you had any good international podcasts that are in English for @epekilis who was asking about it earlier in this thread.

@mm @epekilis I’m following the Seen and Unseen podcast for quite some time and I like it very much. Maybe this is an option to check out

@hebahfisher I saw you had an Ask Me Anything that I really, reallly wanted to participate in but I didn’t get to hear the episode about the Lebanese museum yet in time to make today’s cut-off. It’s on my list though. I’m sure you guys are aware of the podcast “The Museum of Lost Objects” produced...Show More
