@mm Just listened to this, what a great podcast, an informative look at the potential for improving SETI by better understanding whale communications, but as intriguing as that possibility is, the whales still steal the show as being among the most fascinating of non-human intelligences!

@benakimbo What I thought was super fascinating too was that it reminded me of how tech (eg AI) is built with the biases of the builders and why diversity is so important. We’ve built SETI on the bases that aliens will communicate and develop tech similar to us and have the cultural desire to explor...Show More
