Honestly, I never processed the true scale of the first Earth Day. An estimated 20 million people, or one in 10 Americans at the time, came out to protest for the planet. It was really great to hear from Denis Hayes, an OG of environmentalism — even though he jokes it stands for old geezer 😂😂
