Rocky Votolato is a singer/songwriter from Seattle and the former singer of Waxwing. My friend dated his sister for a while.
3) #29: The New Year
The New Year is the “new” band (now 10 years old) from the main guys of Bedhead, one of my all-time favorite bands. Lucky for us, they don’t try that much new stuff with this new band.
4) #28: The Advantage
An instrumental NES cover band on a video game website; sounds like a match made in heaven, right? Right.
5) #27: The Juliana Theory
The Juliana Theory released three lousy albums and one halfway good album with some really excellent tracks. And really bad album art.
6) #26: Shearwater
Shearwater is the former side project (now main project) of former Okkervil River member Jonathan Meiburg. Each of their albums are good for their own reasons.

8) #24: Meredith Bragg and The Terminals
Meredith Bragg is a singer/songwriter from Washington DC who has released two hushed, overlooked albums over the past few years.
9) #23: Phantom Planet
Phantom Planet was a band that featured Jason Schwartzman on drums for a while, as well as having a song featured as The O.C.’s theme song. They went on “indefinite hiatus” last year.
10) #22: Kings of Leon
Kings of Leon are a well-known Southern rock band whose second album is pretty damn good.
