I am Canadian and a few years ago I watched a CBC documentary about the Everest “craze” of recent years and the harsh, morbid reality of climbing the mountain. I was shocked to learn that people still die. In one such tragedy five people died in one weekend: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.1182656

@katarina I watched that too! I had no idea that there were so many visible bodies of climbers who died on their trek.
