Raw and hilarious and brillant. And also made me feel better about my own trials as a founder!

@amelia Definitely putting this on my to listen list. Gimlet has gone far since this botched pitch!

@mm oh it's such an excellent series, and yeah even more poignant looking back now given where they've grown to!

@amelia Have you listened to the 5-part Arlan Hamilton series on StartUp? It's so good.

@amelia Youβre welcome! Let me know what you think via echo (Iβll see it) after you listen to the Arlan Hamilton series. @aliceko and I have so many thoughts about it. It gets pretty dramatic towards middle and end.

@amelia Just listened to this! They both made a pretty good exit since that first pitch. A lot of βshitsβ and βdouchebagsβ. I wonder what this would sound like if one or both were women.

Listening to Alex Blumberg on his first pitch to shows how even founders with successful exits donβt always start perfectly. Was hilarious hearing him cringe hearing himself. So meta.

@klavender - Welcome! This series is really good. It's about Alex Blumberg when he was first started to build out Gimlet Media (like the HBO of podcasts). They recently got acquired by Spotify.
